Save the Dates September 16-20

Our fall used book sale fundraiser takes place September 16-20, 2026 at the Roseville library, 2180 Hamline Avenue North. Shop a huge selection of gently used paperbacks, hardcovers, CDs, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, and more! Whether you’re searching for a page-turning thriller, children’s classics, a new favorite album, or an entertaining jigsaw puzzle, there’s something for everyone.

We accept credit cards, cash, checks, Google Pay, and Apple Pay at our sales. Proceeds support all seven Ramsey County Library locations so they can continue to offer wonderful resources and programs.

**The $5 Bag Sale will be happening on Sunday 9/20. Fit everything you can (except puzzles) in a grocery-sized bag and pay only $5!

Members-Only Presale

Current and new Ramsey County Library Friends members are invited to the Members-Only Presale on Wednesday, April 22 from 5:30-7:30pm. Please note that large containers and scanning devices will not be permitted at the presale (see below for bag policy for large purchases at the public sale). Bags up to grocery size will be allowed, but boxes, carts, larger bags, and scanners will not be allowed on Wednesday, November 12 in order to provide the best experience for everyone.

Members will be mailed a $5 coupon postcard to be used at the sale and for entrance to the presale (if you join in the week before the sale, you’ll be emailed a coupon). Renew your membership or join as a new member. You can also join at the door with a $20 minimum donation. If you’re unsure about your membership status or misplaced your coupon, we can look this up on site for you.

Members help us enrich the lives of Library users, promote literacy and education, and foster community through our continued support of Ramsey County Library. Membership benefits include priority and discounted registration for special events, fun volunteer opportunities, coupons for our bookstores and book sales, and exclusive early access to sales.

Large Purchases at the Fall Sale

Please note that booksellers with scanners and others making larger purchases are welcome at the remainder of the sale, after presale night. We’ll be restocking books before opening the public sale on Thursday morning, April 23. Arrangements can be made on Thursday, or as needed after that, for a cart or larger bag to be placed in an adjacent room to be filled there so it doesn’t block the aisles, and so we can add up your purchase there to expedite checkout for everyone. Seeking Book, A/V & Puzzle Donations

We’re seeking donations of gently used books, vinyl, CD’s, DVD’s and puzzles for our book sales and bookstores. Please limit walk-in donations to 2 boxes/bags per day (note that special arrangements can be made for larger contributions by emailing a request in advance). We accept donations at all Ramsey County Library locations year-round. Please see our guidelines for donating to learn about the types of items we can accept and other details.
